About: Natasha Hanshaw

An international development professional, Natasha has 8 years of extensive research experience and has worked in over 10 countries. She focuses on research and monitoring and evaluation, primarily in the fields of economic governance, trade and development, and private sector development. Currently, she is working on numerous projects designing and implementing field research and firm-level surveys to develop competitiveness rankings of business regulatory environments and promote their improvement in developing countries and emerging markets. She was previously involved in the establishment of a non-profit foundation that aims to develop the next generation of global leaders by identifying high-potential, high-need student leaders from around the world and enabling them to benefit from international education programs. She has worked in Vietnam and Nepal with international education programs and orphanages. Natasha has a graduate degree focused on Economic Development and South East Asia from the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS) at UCSD, and received her bachelor’s degree from Duke University, and a one year master’s from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London.
